We all have been waiting to get news of when we can return to live entertainment events, but things may never be the same as they were before the pandemic. Concert venues may need to follow new safety precautions, and protocol before welcoming fans into venues. Ticketmaster is one of the best places to buy and sell tickets to many events, and they are working for hand and hand with venues throughout the U.S. to plan the future of events.
News has broken this week stating that we are close to the release of a covid vaccine. The ticket company has just begun the development of a phone app that can help keep event goers safe. This app will be able to check the vaccination status of customers, as well as whether they've tested negative for the coronavirus within a 24 to 72-hour window. According to Billboard, "After purchasing a ticket for a concert, fans would need to verify that they have already been vaccinated (which would provide approximately one year of COVID-19 protection) or test negative for coronavirus approximately 24 to 72 hours prior to the concert". During the development of the app, they plan on working on the pros and cons to help keep the event-goers safe. They too mentioned that they will not store or have access to customer's medical records. As more is announced about their plans for the future I will continue to keep you update.
